About The Elkhart Church of Christ
Who We Are
We at the Elkhart Church of Christ are a group of New Testament Christians that meet in Elkhart, TX. We are different people with different backgrounds, yet all members of the body of Christ. We strive to do Bible things in Bible ways and live with the New Testament as our one and only guide. Learn more about Our Beliefs below.
Our mission is simple— to proclaim the truth in love and spread the gospel to local families and our community. You’ll find us at Elkhart to be a congregation full of warm smiles and welcoming people. We are friendly folks and love having visitors. We invite you to join us this Sunday for worship!

What We Believe About:
Our Beliefs
This is not a single statement of faith, but rather an overview of what we believe. The entire New Testament is our one and only standard and the place from which we derive our faith, as does the Church of Christ as a whole.
-
He is one being, though there are three distinct members of the Godhead (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19). God is all-knowing (Heb. 4:13), all-powerful (Col. 1:16), and present everywhere (Ps. 139:7; Prov. 15:3). He is the Creator of all things (Gen 1:1).
-
The Bible is inspired of God, containing everything we need to live godly lives, lacking nothing (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:3), and by it we will be judged (John 12:48).
-
To be saved, one must hear the gospel (Rom. 10:17), believe that Jesus is the Son of God (John 8:24), repent of your sins (a change of mind resulting in a change of action, as a result of godly sorrow) (2 Cor. 7:10), confess with the mouth that Jesus is the Son of God (Rom. 10:9-10), and be fully immersed in water to have one’s sins washed away, which adds one to the church by the Lord (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 47). Lastly, one must continue to follow God in obedience until death in order to receive eternal life (Rev. 2:10).

Our desire as the Church of Christ in Elkhart is to please and glorify God in everything we do (1 Cor. 10:31); not only is this our desire, but it is also our purpose in life (Eccl. 12:13). We believe it is necessary to have God's approval for what we believe and teach (Col. 3:17). We are going to continue to preach the unadulterated Word of God in love and without reservations (Eph. 4:15; 1 Cor. 9:16), and seek to teach the lost (Mark 16:15).
This is our aim and mission.
